Ryan Allis
Ryan P. Allis is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of iContact, the leading provider of email marketing tools for small businesses. Ryan has built Durham-based iContact from its start in July 2003 to its current size with over 110 employees, 30,000 customers, and $16 million in annual sales. In 2005, Ryan was named by BusinessWeek as one of the “Top 25 Entrepreneurs Under 25.” He is the author of the book Zero to One Million: How I Built a Company To $1 Million in Sales and How You Can Too, published by McGraw-Hill.

Ryan is a social entrepreneur and an entrepreneur based in North Carolina. His lifetime focus is to work to reduce poverty and human suffering at home and in developing nations while building stronger communities and encouraging access to technology, healthcare, education, and nutrition. He currently serves on the Boards of Directors for Nourish International, Leadership Triangle, and the Council for Entrepreneurial Development.

Ryan has been a keynote speaker at conferences from Los Angeles to London on the topics of building companies, finding and following your passion, raising venture capital, email marketing, search marketing, and social entrepreneurship. He speaks to over 3000 people per year to share his passion for helping aspiring entrepreneurs set, pursue, and reach their dreams.

Muhammad Yunus

Muhammad Yunus is a Bangladeshi banker and economist. He previously was a professor of economics and is famous for his successful application of microcredit - the extension of small loans. These loans are given to entrepreneurs too poor to qualify for traditional bank loans. Yunus is also the founder of Grameen Bank. In 2006, Yunus and the bank were jointly awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, "for their efforts to create economic and social development from below."Yunus himself has received several other national and international honors. He is the author of Banker to the Poor and a founding board member of Grameen Foundation. In early 2007 Yunus showed interest in launching a political party in Bangladesh named Nagorik Shakti (Citizen Power), but later discarded the plan. He is one of the founding members of Global Elders. Yunus also serves on the board of directors of the United Nations Foundation, a public charity created in 1998 with entrepreneur and philanthropist Ted Turner’s historic $1 billion gift to support United Nations causes.
